Maria Castaneda, LMFT, APCC

I believe that we all hold the power within us to be successful at overcoming life’s challenges. My focus is to support our clients’ abilities to prosper and live the lives they deserve through clinical knowledge of mental health symptoms and symptom management, and an integration of previous experience.  Welcome, I’m Maria Castaneda, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Lic. No. 132248) and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (Lic. No. 7491).

Maria Castaneda

I obtained my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Palo Alto University, I’m licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist, and I’m currently working toward licensure as a Professional Clinical Counselor. I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and children ranging from ages 5-17 and I provide therapy in both English and Spanish.

I believe each individual client and their difficulties are unique and should be treated as such within the therapeutic alliance.  I enjoy interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds and learning about each fascinating culture!

My clinical experience integrates a humanistic approach to therapeutic relationships with a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused interventions.
